| Romano Centro, established in 1991, is
open to all Roma and to supporting members of the association. It • helps members in dealings with the authorities • provides free counselling on social issues and the legal status of foreigners • combats racism and discrimination in specific cases and in public attitudes • provides home tutors for Roma children and employs Roma assistant teachers • represents Roma interests at international conferences • fosters contacts with Roma organisations throughout the world • organises cultural events • endeavours to provide help for Roma in neighbouring countries • acts as an agent for music groups and musicians • runs an extensive library • publishes the quarterly magazine "Romano Centro" • produced Radio Romano Centro • provides counselling and information for teachers, social workers, researchers, journalists, school pupils, students and anyone submitting inquiries • annual membership fee: € 25 in Austria, € 30 abroad We have to rely on your help to carry out important projects.
